Distinctive features of Chelsea model are built-in elastic panels (at present often replaced with a side zip) on the sides, short strip at the back making it easier to put them on and adjust to the foot. With this, it is easy to take them off and put on again.

Designed by Joseph Sparkes-Hall for Queen Victoria who really appreciated this model and used it on a daily basis, which the very author of the model boasted about.
